Which part of '79?
Men's Water Polo, Women's Swim and Dive, and Men's Tennis all scored championships in the 78-79 season or 79-80 season.

oh I took it as the exact year

Two years in a row USC gets the team from the BG10 that feels they should have been i the playoffs. I like it. And better that USC is an underdog.

Totally don't mind being the underdawg in UW's game either.

Penn State can't be feeling bad about getting into the Fiesta and they will be very driven to play this one out.

Quite a few are giving UW no chance, but PSU has only one win against a year end top 25 team and that was Northwestern ffs. They lost their other games against ranked teams. Really not sure people actually watch college football before they make their opinions known.

Neither has proven their rank and standing are valid. Both have similar paths to where they are. Just be a good game is all I ask.

I give the Huskies a good shot. They have the combo of good defense and good offense. That's going to be an entertaining game. They beat a ranked Michigan. But Michigan has nothing as far as offense.

Has there ever been a year in the PAC like this one with so much turnaround in the head coaching dept? If Oregon gets a new coach that makes four and if Leach has pissed off the folks at WSU it could be five.

WSU is the unemployed guy living in his mom's basement that just found out his chick slept with some guy that isn't rich, but at least has his own car. And that chick actually came back so...

They can be bent all they want, but they know damned well they can't do better and just have to lay there and take it.

3-star RB Chris Brown (Oceanside, CA) has committed to Cal. Offers included ASU, UCLA, Utah, Wash, WSU, and Boise St. One of the top backs out west this year. Nice get for the Bears.

Whose their AD right now? Are they even looking? Nobody has heard dick on that subject. Probably why Leach was looking elsewhere.

Whats the new AD inheriting?
11 mil budget hole left by Moos.
Ernie Kent going nowhere with the Bball team.
Bizarro world Leach getting the team to bowls, but keeps losing the Apple Cup each year and embarrassing the program with the Tenn job debacle.

Hey! Almost forgot!

Congrats to the USC fans on their team winning the PAC 12 Conference this year!

With all the insufferable Dawg fans on here I was thinking they won it and were headed to the College Playoffs...

There should be a lot more coaching news in the coming days than simply laughing at Taggart dumping the ducks.

Last two coaching gigs. The eagles and 49ers under Chip. That went well.

Don't really know if you should be more worried rather than clowning right now, but after seeing this years College Head Coach carousel, I think the Bruins fared fairly well considering.

I just think thats funny. Chip obviously did great at Oregon but he crashed and burned in the NFL and this guy was part of the disaster. Before that he coached D line at Oregon for Chip and Marshall before that so now he's the DC at UCLA. Oregon wasn't known for great defense last time I checked even when Chip was there. So this guy being named DC doesn't scare a bit. He's got no history of building a great or good defense. If you guys had lured Jimmy lake from the Huskys I'd be a lot more worried.
Chips a good hire and I think he's going to be very competitive .IF you know anything about what people think of USC and UCLA football programs you know that USC will still get the kids it gets now and Chip will get the UCLA kids and keep some of the kids who might have gone to other PAC school here in so cal. Kids from so cal usually know which school they want to go to way before they start to get recruited.
