I loved how everyone went from cheering when Oberyn had the upper hand to that look of "Uh oh! Why is he not killing him? Pretty sure he just fucked himself!"

the who gave the order part was where I thought. ah shit hes lost all control and awareness.

but I still didnt expect it.

Another great episode in a fantastic season, but I have one thought after it...

If Tyrion dies, FUCK Game of Thrones.

Agreed, he's certainly the heart and soul of the show. There are not many good guys left.

Also agree. Plus they don't NEED to kill him off. Martin has killed enough major characters that putting anyone character in jeopardy is suspenseful enough to be really effective.

The way this show has gone so far, it would almost be a bigger shocker to leave Tyrion alive. I really hope that's how it goes.

Great production values for that episode. Amazing for TV.

Helms Deep was a far better battle

Better finish strong game of thrones, that episode couldn't hold a candle to the Battle of Helms Deep

I was expecting more of a surprise finish. I can't remember if there was more than 1 attack in the book but I'm thinking another one might be coming unless they are really changing things up.

I was a bit disappointed when I only saw the Wall characters in the opening credits. Didn't think they'd be able to carry a full episode but I thought it was great. The scene near the end without any cuts was pretty cool.

It was pretty dumb of them to let a giant get through the gate though. How could all those guys at the top of the wall not be able to take out a giant with that much time? Maybe the rookie that took out Ygritte should have been up there instead of down below.

With enough firepower 1 man on top of the wall could easily be worth 1000 men attacking it. The problem was they had a group that were already over the wall that they had to worry about.

Pretty sure I would not have signed up to climb the Wall in the middle of a siege! :L

That's all you're going to get for the battle at The Wall this season for sure. I thought it was well done, but they did change it up quite a bit.

I don't consider this a spoiler, but there is more to come. The battle at The Wall is far from over. I imagine they will get back to it within the first two episodes next season.

There really is a lot more to that whole battle if you can recall from the books. However it's very possible that they change the story up and cut it short, but I can't imagine they cut out one of the most major parts in the whole story.

Oh yeah, it was. However I was impressed with that they did on this with far less time and far less budget.

I think so too. The next night might not go so poorly if everyone is fighting on the same side and not fighting two attacking armies.

i was just expecting so much more. it had its moments and I wish they showed the giant battle in the tunnel, but it just seemed overall flat. Ill have to watch it again, it just seemed meh. maybe I was too hyped on it (thanks alot Sly :suds:)

This is a pretty important part of the whole battle. While everything looks very bleak for the very few remaining men of the Night's Watch, subsequent battles will theoretically be much more advantageous for them.

One of my favorite episodes of the season. My only complain is the 'promise me you won't die' line

I guess we needed a breather after the Kings Landing debacle that's been playing out. Thought it was going to be Sam that killed Ygritte. The tunnel still seems vulnerable. Why'd they wait so long to let Ghost out? And I understand they're not all master swordsman but I would think they would be a little better off with all of the training they received.

Next week looks like they are touching base on every storyline. Hoping it's not a completely rushed ending.

At first I thought it was goofy they added lyrics to the opening theme but by the time it was over it won me over.
