Wasn't it security at the game, the reason behind the verdict, which is contracted out?

I think Stow having double the legal limit of alcohol had a lot to do with this. I didn't hear he was wasted until a couple weeks ago.

I feel really bad for the guy, $14 million for essentially a hopeless life is not enough in my opinion. That is my emotional speaking.

From a legal standpoint, I think even though the jury didn't lay any percent of responsibility on Stowe - and he was partially responsible, let's not kid ourselves, he mouthed off with them too because he was blasted out of his skull - the dollar amount awarded pretty much said that without actually saying that - 37.5% each to the two thugs who turned him into vegetable and 25% on the Doyers.

$14 million is nothing for the lifetime of care this man will need.

The Dodgers should learn a valuable lesson from this: Giants fans, especially shitfaced ones, are extremely obnoxious at Chavez and when that team is playing there, they should have increased security and escort any provocative Giants fans off the premises.

I feel terrible for Mr. Stow as well. He will need assisted living for the reminder of his life and its not like he is an older guy. I think the guys that did this to him are punks and deserve a very long prison sentence (cant remember what they did get).

With that being said, one thing I cant stand are obnoxious fans that go to other arenas to watch their team play. Its one thing to go there and cheer on your team, but another thing to taunt and rub it in the fans face. I can remember going to Kings games years ago (especially when I drank) and seeing Ducks fans there taunting the Kings fans near them. At the time I wanted to run over there and start something. Thankfully, I didn't act on my emotion.

Again, I think the guys that did this are jerks and I hate being associated with them as a Doyer fan but I think people should show some respect when they go to other arenas to not insight those people. There will always be punks that go to games and even start something for just wearing another jersey but I think the respect factor will go a long ways.

I can't take Ducks, Angels or Giants fans so I don't go to any games involving those teams since those fans love to ruin the experience for others.

As a Padres fan who goes to the Ravine, it's a simple matter of not even wearing a hat in or being in any way obnoxious. I'm too old to worry about my "rights". Enjoy the game, STFU or GTFO. Simple as that. Getting shitfaced and running your mouth in the parking lot is going to get you "Stowed." And I guarantee you he won't be harassing anyone else for the rest of his life.
