Tiger had a surprisingly great showing - I know Dash was pumped!! ;)

lol - How many fairways did Tiger find in the final round, eloco? He'd better straighten out his driver (maybe Lindsay can help him) or he won't be around for the weekend at the US Open.

Yeah, he still has a lot of work to do. Tiger is nearly 40 and his best is clearly behind him. Injuries and the fact he has lost the team that helped make him such a success aren't helping either.

Of the 410 major championships since 1860, only 33 have been won by a player aged 40 or older. I can see him winning another one or two, but I don't think there is any way he is catching Nicklaus at this point, especially with some great younger talent in the game right now like Spieth and McIlroy, and a number of experienced solid players like Rose, Watson, and Scott in their prime.

I'd put Tiger's majors won the rest of his career at 1.5. Would you guys take the over or under on that?

I'll take the under (I think he could capture lightning in a bottle for four days and win one more, but that's it).

I think I tend to agree with you.

The Open is at St. Andrew's this year. If Tiger can be healthy/better by July, it will be interesting to see what he can do there. He has won it 2 of the last 3 times they have played at that course.

Btw, I think it's time to use your mod powers to change this thread to the proper title...

"OT: Dash and Eloco occasionally talk about golf"

;)

David Hearn only two shots back and Nick Taylor having a nice tourney as well. Graham DeLaet is playing in the same group with Tiger Woods (normally, this would be good news).

Congrats to Rickie Fowler on winning The Players Championship yesterday, pretty funny that his mom was at the tourney and left for the airport when he was five strokes back thinking he had no chance to win. She saw him birdie 17 and raced back to the course from the airport to see him emerge victorious in the playoff.

Nice weekend for Adam Hadwin, a T-5 finish at the Crowne Plaza (Colonial) tourney and a cool quarter shmill in his Dockers slacks this morning.

Graham DeLaet finished in 4th place at this week's tour stop and that qualifies him for the British Open next month at The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland.

Graham DeLaet makes it to Scotland, his clubs do not.

I've heard of grounding your club, but not all 14 and your golf bag as well...
