Can you still call it a walk-off home run if the guy who hit it can't walk off the field?

man, incredible how they continually find new ways to lose.

And somehow, they'll find new ways to do it this week probably. And they were playing so well before this weekend.

the pirates drive me nuts because the team could be great if they had some semblance of a starting rotation...but you know, every trade they've made...they've all really kinda been wins. besides maybe the jason bay trade...really...all the guys they've traded have been duds everywhere else. jack wilson, nate mcclouth, nyjer 'throw my glove in rage' morgan, xavier nady, etc.

I wouldn't say Nyjer Morgan has been a "dud", atleast not last year. Unless we are speaking of these:

i suppose. but my point was more that every pirate 'fan' complains about the trades when in reality the team sucked when we had all these 'amazing' players...so why keep them? the trades may not have paid off yet, but so far none of the players that we've traded have done ANYTHING. the big three of last season were wilson, mcclouth, and sanchez. yeah...those guys are certainly tearing up the world, aren't they? 2 on the DL AGAIN and one hitting under .200

I see what you're saying, I'm just saying from what I see of the Nats and Morgan is a solid player for them. Last year more so, but still apart of them being around .500

yeah...and you'll still freaking get harper. if the nats pass on harper, i'll possibly be the happiest person on the face of the earth. of course, that's only if the buccos actually PICK harper. one can dream.
