I think this play seals the deal - Yadier Molina is definitely not a hall of famer in my opinion.

During that game, Cervelli was dictating exactly how long his pitchers held the ball by holding up his hand until he wanted them to deliver, and then frantically waving, "Come on!" when he was ready to go. It was really amusing, and it also seemed to work.

I see some new, disturbing smileys. It appears I left you all unsupervised for MUCH too long.

:tsk:

While I'll never forgive the old GM for trading Syndergaard for RA Dickey, I'm thinking Thor miiiiight be a bit of a dick. And an idiot.

I've only been to one game at Fenway back in Pedro's prime in June of 1999. It was an interleague series against the Braves and Otis Nixon was their right fielder. The fans were merciless against him with the semi-racial slurs but the one I remember the most was when the bleachers down by Pesky Pole started a wife beating crack head chant that seemed to get on his nerves. I think players just were mentally tougher back then and didn't let insults and words offend them as much as they do today.

Kinda reminds me when Paul O'Neil played for the Yankees. Everytime he played at Tiger Stadium/Comerica Park he was mercilessly taunted. He always got pissed off and acted like a giant baby. Good times...

I remember a road trip with a buddy of mine where we attended a Dodgers game at Chavez Ravine. We got seats in the right field bleachers and this is when Darryl Strawberry was playing right field for LA. Anyway, Darryl was having a rough day both at the plate and in the field and I said to my friend, "Well, is it time for the Darryl chant?". Sure enough, we got it started and pretty soon, the echoes of "Darr-yl, Darr-yl" were bouncing around Dodger Stadium.
