I had heard the same jstew, but with SJ Green re-upping with Montreal, maybe the Als couldn't make the dollars work with Collie.

/Maybe a more important question is who will be throwing the pigskin to Collie?

Edit: I didn't realize Collie was a non-import, that's great for the ratio if he works out.

on global last night tedford said he and lulay had a great talk and lulays shoulder is rehabbing well

Then in the next breath he says it will be a wide open qb competition

Sounds like fate that jordan rodgers will get a shot

Tedford and cortez have had success with coaching a rodgers before

Stampeders have signed DB Fred Bennett to a contract extension. Western Division All-Star in 2014. 44 tackles, 3 interceptions. #CFL

Nice work, Huff.

Also, the Riders have released Ben Heenan as he looks for a NFL gig - Sounds like it is down to the Bolts and Colts.

Edit: Colts it is.

The Indianapolis Colts today agreed to terms with guard Ben Heenan.

Heenan, 6-4, 316 pounds, played the last three seasons (2012-14) with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) after being selected by the team with the first overall pick of the 2012 CFL Draft. He competed in 52 career games on the offensive line, starting 49 contests. In 2014, Heenan started all 21 games for the Roughriders for the first time in his career. In 2013, he started 16 games at right guard and right tackle and helped the Roughriders win their fourth Grey Cup in franchise history. As a rookie in 2012, Heenan saw action in a total of 15 games and started 12.

Well, it was bound to happen, but it's a big loss to the Stamps O-line.

It appears you can cross out another big name potentially hitting free agency Tuesday.

As first reported by Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press, Calgary Stampeders centre Brett Jones will be signing with an NFL club shortly.

Jones' team has not yet been revealved but Scott Mitchell of the Calgary Sun reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals are all in play.

Jones’ two years in the league have produced two West Division All-Star nods, one league All-Star nod, a Most Oustanding Rookie award, and a Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman award for the 24-year-old Canadian.
