Devin Gardner and Tajh Boyd say hell yes...

Nike camps and Elite 11 took place earlier this week in Beaverton, OR home of Nike

Reporter answer to "Are UO facilities ad good as I have heard?"

I did get to UO last Thursday. The Ducks set-up is truly awesome. I'd been there a lot for games but ended up touring the place with Clemson's Tajh Boyd and Michigan's Devin Gardner and it was interesting to see how those two guys who are at these powerhouse programs were blown away by what the Ducks have, and really the whole vibe of the place. The Ducks treatment center where the training staff is, looks a World Class spa, which I guess it actually is. Everything around the UO facilities looks like its state-of-the-art.

Uncle Phil just dropped 8 mil into this as well

via Register Guard of Eugene

For now, let’s call it Phil Knight’s instant forest.
Whether the sportswear tycoon will give it a name is unclear, but he does own naming rights to the transformation taking place on the north wall of Autzen Stadium, which is comprised of a 3½-story tall earthen berm.
As the work proceeds, contractors will bring in 39 live, mature Douglas fir, incense cedar, coast redwood, giant sequoia, western red cedar and Canadian hemlock trees, all 35 to 40 feet tall. The trees will come complete with root balls 6 to 8 feet in diameter and 5 or 6 feet tall.
Hundreds of additional 6- to 15-foot-tall saplings are marked out in project plans submitted to the Eugene planning department, including 76 more Douglas fir, 115 vine maple and 12 western red cedar.
The trees will go next to 20-foot concrete pathways that will be built to switchback up the side of the berm. A pair of 150-long artificial streams with moss-covered basalt stones will trickle alongside.
The project has been dubbed “Zen North” by its designers.
Think of Autzen’s north side as a new Skinner’s or Spencer Butte — complete with the stillness of tall trees.

We get it, you all love your facility and your team. I think recruits will be more impressed with the new Husky stadium than that saddle sore looking thing you play in. And others in the conference are catching up as well. All over the college world schools are upgrading and putting the bling on their uniforms to attract new recruits. Bunch of peacocks strutting their features around if you ask me. Still Husky Stadium > Autism central.

Cal just jumped anything the Ducks have with their stadium renovation and new athletic center. Ducks can't compete with that setting and scenery. Same with Husky stadium.

Any hope of the Ducks catching the Huskies facilities has been put the rest with the new Husky Stadium. Uncle Phil can put in as many fake water features and trucked in trees his wallet can muster, won't change reality.

Husky Stadium #1 in the PAC.

Oregon and Nebraska are basically 1a and 1b in terms of facilities. Nobody is really even remotely close at this point.

We have been over this. Husky stadium was modeled after Centry Link field, not your toilet bowl. I even showed you the pictures of both and where they were the same. There is a reason the new stadium will look very different from autism and it isn't just the scenery by the water. The zeros will keep on playing in that sterile boring looking facility and UW will play in the top stadium in the conference by far. It will be louder by at least 30% given the roof system, will hold nearly 10k more than yours, and still manages the best view west of the mississippi.

Thats what Oregon has done. Modeled themselves after teams with success.

I can admit it but Wiz is unable to admit however that Fusky Stadium seating is a mirror of what Oregon did... They can say Qwest. But all the PAC fans know the truth.

It's ok Ducks. Be proud of your Niketown cordinated facilites. You got a vegas lounge waterfall in the lockeroom. You've always got that over the rest of the PAC. You can always brag about that.

Obviously they are first class all the way! However, that facility would stick out like a sore thumb in Tuscaloosa. Let's just say Oregon enjoys the more contemporary things than Alabama does. Architecture as different in the style of game's both teams play but the bottom line is they both win!
