Defense and bad baserunning let the fish down on opening day - its unfortunate for this team to open the season with a loss - this fan base is so lousy that this one loss will probably chase them away from the stadium for the season - best part of baseball is it is played almost every day, so they have a chance to get back on track tomorrow
If you want to talk some ball during the game tomorrow there will probably be a few of us on the Braves board, feel free to join in. We're usually pretty civil as long as we're winning, lol.
Unfortunate for the fish to have lost the first two games - losses can easily chase away this fair weathered fan base - hope we recover tonight and get going
Looks like the Fish will get swept at home. Don't diagree with you Paolo about the fans. Through 24 innings, the team has just plated 3 runs and Staton hitting under 150. We have had poor starts and recovered before, but an opening series sweep at home against a division rival with little scoring from the Marlins and the stadium snafu on game 1 may cool the interest in the Marlins early. Unfortunate but such is life. Canes baseball may be the best Miami sport this year.
Swept at home....one of our key pitchers acquired with over an 90 ERA and G. Stanton was 1 for 7 with 5 strikeouts and a critical baserunning mistake in our two close games in the series. Not a good start. The good news is that good tickets will be available nightly.
