Don't look now, but the Bruins have won 5 in a row and are the hottest team in hockey.

I really hate the "didn't protect himself" argument on what are already illegal hits. There's a reason you're not allowed to hit a player in a vulnerable or unsuspecting (aka no puck) position. If a guy has the puck, isn't paying attention, and gets hit hard, resulting in injury...okay, that's on them. Not every hit that results in an injury is illegal. But when an illegal hit results in injury, that is fully on whomever levied the hit. Just like the Maatta hit that I'm not over. If your hit is illegal and irresponsible, than it's fully on your head if the player gets hurt.

Am I the only one who sees E.Staal's career trajectory playing out a lot like Vinny Lecavalier?

That's a very apt comparison. Came in blazing, Cup winner by 21, a few solid seasons afterwards...and then a whole lot of nothing. I'm still wondering what the hell happened to Jordan Staal when he went to Carolina. Maybe I'm inherently biased because I went from hearing his name often to watching him play about three times a year...but is he even playing?

Yeah...giant piece of shit. Sid isn't engaging at all, this pisses him off, so crosscheck to the neck, break stick on him while down, stand demeaningly over top of him in pain. Only thing missing was him spitting on him, basically.

How...how is anyone so deluded that they watch that and think it's unintentional?! Unintentional is when you are careless and high stick a guy. Cross checking a guy in the neck and subsequently cross checking him in the ribs is not a whoopsie.

Until this mentality goes away in NHL circles, it won't stop.
