Whatever you say, KLowe...

“We’ve found over the last decade that, except for the last couple years, we’ve been a competitive team but there wasn’t really a year where we were considered a contender at the start of the year.”

Really?!? Just over the last two years, eh? Haven't made the playoffs in 4 consecutive years, Kev. I think Kev needs a few sessions on the couch with the team of psychologists that the Oil are bringing in.

do they have their own 2nd rounder next year ... they should take a run at lower tier rfa's ... maybe a Hjallmarsson

Man, I sure love his game...Solid defender who doesn't mind the rough stuff either.

hard to say what will happen if they try playing him as a #1 or 2 guy which edm would probably do ... 3 or 4 guy with managed minutes and hes a stud

I think hes a casualty in Chicagos cap mess

good point. Even Sopel is effective when Keith and Seabrook take half of the game

I think I heard the other night that Keith's resting heart rate is 69, which is comparable to an elite marathon runner...

He's S. Neidermayer redux

and Ive been thinking lately that the cap sitch in Chicago isnt that horrible ... I think they have the best big four guys signed long term ... no other team can match Toews Kane Seabrook Keith ... If they can sign Niemi at something long term and no more than 3 million the blackhawks will be allright

theres a good read on puck daddy written by one of Dkeiths former bchl teammates

I still can't see how they can get around Campbells $7+ million (long term) and Huet's $5.6 mill (2 more years).
that's a lot of big salaries, an a lot of $500k players - and zero injury room

no doubt its likely their depth will be gutted

Campbells salary will rear its head after next year when Seabrook becomes rfa

I think Huets path will start to look like Marty Gerbers ... off to the minors and then back to europe ... so they have that 5.6 to play with

Duncan Keith will be playing 30 mins a night ... but I just get the feeling he can actually do it and well - lol
