I would say at the beginning it will be LeBron- but i also think it could depend on the matchup- the circumstances etc.

KYrie can play off the ball and be a threat to spread the floor or drive and kick - which is the EXACT type of guard you want playing with LeBron.

Imagine a lineup of Lebron at the top with the ball with Love in a corner, Miller in a corner and Kyrie on the wing and Varejao setting the pick....who do you leave open? How is that even defensible?

So they're trying to be the Suns? They never made it to the Finals.

Just about every team has 3 point shooters and this has become a 3 pt shooting league. I will take my chances with having the best in Love, Miller, Jones, and possibly Ray.

I don't care how many shooters you have. You do not want your team shooting 25-30's in games. If you're shooting that many 3's you better plan on hitting 15+ 3's.

The Cavs offense will be plenty diverse

I mean- LeBron has shown the ability to post up- as has Love

and Kyrie and Waiters can take it to the rim and finish as good as anyone

I will laugh my fucking ass off if Love ends up in Phoenix and LeBron gets to play with the guy he made it clear was his second choice in Wiggins.

Bledsoe is better than anyone the Cavs are giving them actually. I rather a proven Bledsoe/Young instead of an unproven Wiggins to go along with Young

Spurs took an avg. of almost 24 threes a game in the finals

Are you slow? I'm talking about over the course of the 82 game season....Not over some short 5 game span.

You do not want your team avg in the mid 20's for 3's per game for the season. Teams that usually shoot 3's that often doesn't win championships. You don't want to live and die by the 3 ball. High teen's/low 20's isn't that bad but when you're approaching 25 3's nightly that is not a good thing.

Last year here were the top 5 teams in 3's attempted per game

1) Houston 26.6
2) Atlanta 25.8
3) Portland 25.3
4) Phoenix 25.1
5) New York 24.9

Only 2 of those teams made the playoffs and only 1 advanced to the 2nd round. None probably would have advanced if they did not face each other.

I don't have the time to post all the numbers but in the last 5 years, only one team who finished top 5 in 3's per game made the finals or conference finals.

You don't want to be a team who's shooting 22 or 23 3's nightly. You rather be that team who's attempting 17-19 instead

It is becoming a 3 pt shooting league, so if you wanna succeed you need good shooters. It only helps.

I agree but that doesn't mean you should become a team who's attempting 25+ 3's especially when you have the best player in the world on your team.

This has defintely become a 3 point shooting league. I believe 12 teams last year attempted 23 3's or more per game. None of those teams however made the conference finals and only 3 of them made the 2nd round

That would definitely be karma for Lebron.

LBJ likes having shooters around him, god forbid he takes a 3 that wasn't wide open.

Chris Grant deserves some credit for laying this foundation- his free agent moves were pretty awful- but he did a great job accumulating assets that became the backbone of building this team

"Over the next three years, then-general manager Chris Grant traded for six first-round picks, five second-round picks and two pick swaps"

Although- you have to give Gilbert credit- in many of those trades for picks he tooks the other teams "problems" in order to get the picks attached.

today is the culmination of a 4 year rebuilding effort, that definitely had its share of luck, but fortune favors the prepared- and Grant laid the framework for the juggernaut the Cavs will be for the foreseeable future- kudos to CG!
