Fitzpatrick is a Fin. He can play Free Safety & also cover TEs. He is a pro bowl level talent.

The Fins still have big needs at LB and TE but Fitzpatrick is a solid talent.

To finish my thought, I don't think it fills an immediate need, IMO - but it certainly adds talent and depth, which is also a good thing - he does fit into the scheme well, though.

Im going to also give the Fins the benefit of the doubt here on not filling an immediate need and say they at least seemed to have gone after the best-available-player. I think it went similar to what I was hoping in the sense that they at least seemed to have stuck to the plan they set out more so than focusing on who was already off board

I was thinking they might pick LB Edmunds but most people had Fitzpatrick as a top 10 talent.

Fitzpatrick is versatile and I think he'll be dedicated to make an impact for the team.
