Shifting my thoughts for the moment - thinking the Dolphins will instead go offensive skill position with their first pick or OL - don't think the value is there at defense right now -- but you never know
Josh Rosen being taken by Arizona who has traded up - as the NFL Network guys are saying and all the others - Gase believes in Tanehill(rightly so), so while teams were concerned the Fins would go QB - its likely the Fins are determined not to and do something else
To finish my thought, I don't think it fills an immediate need, IMO - but it certainly adds talent and depth, which is also a good thing - he does fit into the scheme well, though.
Im going to also give the Fins the benefit of the doubt here on not filling an immediate need and say they at least seemed to have gone after the best-available-player. I think it went similar to what I was hoping in the sense that they at least seemed to have stuck to the plan they set out more so than focusing on who was already off board
