Another good deal...not by us though

Yankees signed 2B Neil Walker to a one-year, $4 million contract.

The deal was first reported earlier Monday and is now official. He can make more in incentives, per MLB.com's Bryan Hoch. Walker has had a little trouble staying healthy the last two seasons but has still managed to sport a healthy .274/.355/.458 batting line over that span. The 32-year-old will take over as the Yankees' starter at second base eventually, although he could be eased into things since he's getting a late start to spring training. It will push Ronald Torreyes and Tyler Wade to utility roles and possibly delaying Gleber Torres' arrival a bit.

Just my thoughts going into this season
I love the Seattle Mariners and baseball, but fucks sake.... I always have a little bit of hope regardless... I don't know if I have too much going on in life or what but I am having a hard time giving a fuck. There is other shit in life that is hard to handle to begin with, its getting harder to care so much for a team that doesn't fucking try. Nostalgia is fun and enjoyable but I want to win I don't want to hang jerseys up from 95 I want to win. First time i've ever cared so little. Talk me off the ledge brothers!!!


ps.. for those that have known me for what? 10 years damn near know i don't say stuff like this.. god speed guys!

I really want to talk you off that ledge because you are truly one of the good guys on here and have been for years, but anything I say will only make you climb to a higher ledge and jump sooner.

Just remember guys. A reason for optimism is we can’t possibly be as injured as last year. Haven’t even played a ST game yet and we have heard about our 4th injury. Man good thing the new DR. was “our biggest acquisition of the offseason.”
