LSU likely down another pass-rusher ahead of its opener vs. BYU

Ed Orgeron confirmed that Andre Anthony sustained an unspecified injury during practice this week and is “probably not going to play” against BYU Saturday night. With Anthony likely sidelined, either redshirt freshman Ray Thornton and freshman true freshman K’Lavon Chaisson will get the start at the Buck position for the Tigers against the Cougars.

Arkansas CB Ryan Pulley announces he is out for the season with shoulder injury

Trent Shadid of SEC Country reports the injury is actually a torn pectoral injury. The injury occurred in the second quarter of Thursday night’s game, and Pulley did not return to the field.

Georgia QB Jacob Eason is out for Notre Dame game

After being removed from a season-opening game win against Appalachian State on Saturday, Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason will sit out of the Bulldog’s Week 2 matchup at Notre Dame. Freshman Jake Fromm will continue to fill in for Eason and will get his first collegiate start this weekend in South Bend.

USC says 2006 Rose Bowl never officially happened

The Trojans were forced to vacate their 2005 season due to the Reggie Bush sanctions, which means USC erased its lone loss on top of those 11 wins.

So ahead of Texas’s visit to USC on Saturday, the first meeting since The Rose Bowl That Never Happened, USC lists itself as 4-0 all-time against the Longhorns.
