Off season trades

It is slow so I thought that I would post something to get some ******* going.
I am in a couple of keeper, 5x5, rotisserie leagues- 14 teams, 12 keepers each now must be reduced to 7 keepers each by April with 4 year contracts.
We allow trades in February. I made two trades yesterday- one in each league:

1) I gave Kenley Jansen, 2017 expiring contract for Freddie Freeman, 2015 expiring contract.
2) I gave Cole Hamels, 2018 contract for Hunter Pence, 2017 contract.

Gives us something to talk about...

Man, I hate closers, but I don't much like Freeman for this year. He still hasn't shown real HR power for a slugging first baseman, and the Braves lineup is pretty pathetic. RBIs and Rs may be hard to come by.

As for the 2nd one, I love the gangly man-bird.

the top 4 closers, which jansen is, and their ratios and consistency are a different story than just any closer though...

Which is why I don't like the trade. I wouldn't have a problem trading Jansen depending on the situation, but as I said, I don't like Freeman this year.

I like freeman... despite the sulkiness of the braves this season, he is still easily a top 10 1B and a top 50 player... but then again so is jansen...

Yeah, I still like him for the future, but this year I wouldn't expect stellar numbers. Look at this projected Braves lineup:

4. Chris Johnson, 3B
5. B.J. Upton, CF
6. Zoilo Almonte, LF
7. Alberto Callaspo, 2B
8. Christian Bethancourt, C

Bench: Kelly Johnson, IF/OF

Yikes.

that really is scary bad offense for ATL this season... But if he is in an OBP league, I think this is a going to be a PLUS...
