It's the same with everyone on the staff, maybe 1 or 2 exceptions. Always behind hitters, and when they do throw strikes, they're right over the plate...

I really wish we could copy whatever Oakland is doing with pitching. They keep on churning out good pitcher after good pitcher, even after they leave. I know the ballpark can't make that huge of a difference compared to what Oakland and Baltimore have both given up so far this year. The last great pitcher we had was Mussina and that was close to 15 years ago.

I wouldn't consider Bedard. Guy's got a career 4 ERA. But given their lackluster history, he probably is the best since Mussina which ain't saying much.
