I'd say yes to shortening the season.

And even as an old fashioned traditionalist, I say screw the bowl games if they aren't willing to adjust. The biggie bowls have thrown their weight around and dictated way too much for too long IMHO. Having .500 (or worse) teams rewarded with bowl games is right in line with the "Everyone deserves a trophy" mentality with which I totally disagree.

I'm with you. If you look back... way back, 60s and 70s, there just weren't that many bowl games and even really good teams got left out. These days getting a bowl invite just isn't that special in most cases. If we do shorten the season, I'd like something to be done about how conf divisions work. The way they're set up in addition to hit and miss scheduling just doesn't make sense.

We need the exposure honestly, even if we lose. Sad to say that....but this media landscape we're in dictates it. ESPN will protect their interests by steering the narrative away from the BigXII and PAC due to their deals with FOX.

Scheduling tough early really didn't do a damn thing for us, did it? Losses to the #2 and #26 teams don't mean shit when compared with losses of other teams in the committee's eyes.

We have a better SOS OOC than WISC/PSU and they both have two losses, but they beat higher ranked conference foes. Everyone rating 1-loss WVU way below 2 and even 3 loss teams hurts. I bet Ok. State doesn't raise a single fucking spot...guess why?

Better SOS OOC than LOUISVILLE/WASHINGTON too, but they only have one loss.

I hope our admin starts looking at these brass tacks. Tough OOC scheduling is stupid now. Too much risk, too little reward.

Not even crazy stuff...Mich wins out...Wash loses again...OU wins out...Clemson wins out...they're in as #4...so it's not that crazy..
