2024 NFL Draft: The Safety Class

3. Javon Bullard, Georgia - 5'11, 195 pounds

THIRD ROUND
4. Calen Bullock, USC - 6'3, 190 pounds
5. Jaden Hicks, Washington State - 6'3, 212 pounds

THIRD TO FOURTH ROUND
6. Cole Bishop, Utah - 6'2, 207 pounds.

There are no safeties projected to go in the first round. Beau Brade and Sione Vaki are two prospects we will end up discussing. Vaki plays both running back and safety.

Watched some of the combine, and the one that caught my eye was Sione Vaki out of Utah.

I'd draft that guy, and he will be available on like day 3.

Top shelf level athleticism and suddenness.

He is all in on his reads, but at times a negative. His raw talent, speed, and athleticism is hard to ignore in a league that needs every single one of those traits.

I gotta pass. He'll go 1st/2nd round but I need a Safety that is the back end finisher that leads the secondary and makes all the calls on the back end. He isn't that guy. He is a renegade that would need someone else to run the show.

He could maybe move to slot/nickel, or at least have the versatility to do so. He's slid down the rankings a bit in most mocks from the tail end of the 1st deep into the 2nd (maybe the 3rd?), not that mocks are the end-all, be-all.

Pretty bad safety class... I mean Nubin may even have a case to switch to OLB in a 4-3 lol. And then the amount of free agent safeties... ooof. I'll be surprised if any safety makes it in the 1st round.
