I was just reporting........I am old school .....I like the sport as is.
The only change I would enact, would be; no warming up a pitcher on the playing field mound. (unless injury to previous pitcher)

I'm ok with walk up songs for the first AB of the game but after that? Get rid of it.
I could do without em.

They could just tell hitters to be ready when they come up. Wouldn't have to start many counts 0-1 for dilly dallying before guys were there on time.

They still need to raise the strike zone, IMO. The pitches that miss out of the zone low that umps call strikes now are unhittable.

If they want to make changes to speed up the pace of play so they can "connect with a younger audience," (when has that line of thinking ever worked?), then here's what they need to do:

1.) Actually ENFORCE the rule of keeping one foot in the batter's box. If I were a pitcher, I would sling it over the plate every time a batter steps out to adjust his gloves without swinging.
2.) I know a lot of people don't like this, but I am okay with a pitch clock. Largely because umpires, again, are just not enforcing the rules: Rule 5.07(c)(8.04):When the bases are unoccupied, the pitcher shall deliver the ball to the batter within 12 seconds after he receives the ball. Each time the pitcher delays the game by violating this rule, the umpire shall call "Ball." Watching pitchers like Pedro Baez pitch is excruciating and can actually be a detriment to his teammates. Nobody wants to see Pedro Baez pitch again this postseason

Fix those two things, and you make the game go by a little faster.

6 new rules officially announced...

1) Intentional walks no longer require any pitches by thrown

2) Managers now have only 30 seconds to request a replay

3) Replay officials nowhave a 2-minute "guideline" to determine the call. This does not sound like a rule as much as a suggestion.

4) Manager chalanges now expire in the 8th inning instead of the 7th inning.

5) a clarification on base coach positioning pre-pitch

6) the "Carter Capp" rule. He has basically been outlawed from the game. A "second step" is no longer allowed.
