Woulda.
Coulda.
Shoulda.
Didn't.

If you want to play imaginary scenarios, the Giants should have had the starting SS as well. I wasn't bitching about that BECAUSE HE DIDNT START!
Didn't Addison Russell start over Crawford because he had more votes? That's not the same thing. Cueto started over Kershaw because Kershaw's back was bothering him. Obviously pitchers don't get voted in by fans, but still.

Also, while we're here, Kenley Jansen would've been a "starter" if relief pitchers had a version of that, but by definition as a closer he couldn't be named a "starter."

Anyways, you're being a dick over this so I'll drop it (Trouble in paradise? You're not usually this bitter). I'm not sure why you'd have a problem with Kershaw being more worthy than Cueto but you like your little scoreboard so go ahead and frame it or something.

How the hell am I being a dick?

I listed the division's all-star counts, you bitched like a girl because your guy couldn't start since he was hurt (wouldn't that qualify as an excuse?). I never claimed Cueto was the best SP in the NL for the first half (hell, he isn't even the best SP on the Giants for the first half).

You say Craw doesn't count as an AS because he didn't win the vote (I agree). But Kershaw was never named the starter. It is just supposition on your part that he would have been (a claim I never argued against, by the way). You are arguing opinion. I am stating fact.

But I am the dick.

Gotcha.

I would have picked Seager as the starting SS and Kershaw the SP if he wasn't hurt, that's just my opinion though. But number of all star starters doesn't seem like something worth having a big argument over. Fans voting turns it into a popularity contest so a player who might be putting up MVP numbers could come off the bench. Seager or Crawford obviously deserved to start over Russell and Kershaw probably starts if healthy, but does it really matter? :noidea:

I wonder if Edwin Jackson will carry the Fightin Friars to a sweep of Los Gigantes?

Giants rotation is pretty crappy after Cueto/Bumgarner (though it's obviously a very good 1/2 punch).

Where did all the Giants fans go all the sudden? :noidea:

"Counting rings. How many do the Padres have?" - @calsnowskier (or something else equally as clever)

Cowering in the corner, obviously.

How embarrassing. It has to have been AT LEAST 50 or 60 years since a team got swept on the road, right? We should all just hang our heads in shame.

That was the Padres World Series, well done! The Giants will just have to win another actual one.
You mean the sweep? Of the Giants? Is that what you're referring to? When the Padres swept the mighty Giants?

Yep, that one. I'm happy for the Padres and their fans that they got to win a (special needs) World Series. I just wish Tony Gwynn was here to see it.

The Dodgers have placed 22 players on the disabled list this season, already tied for the most by an NL team in the last 30 years. The 2012 Red Sox are the only team to have more at 27.

That is a lot, granted, but they set themselves up for this by having a roster full of players with extensive injury histories.
