Braves going to be paying more money to players not on the team then on:suds:

Braves designated OF Michael Bourn for assignment.

The Braves had been attempting to shop the overpaid outfielder elsewhere rather than having the $14 million man sit on the bench. They opted to simply eat the money give the extra outfield spot to Drew Stubbs. Bourn shouldn't attract interest on waivers as no one wants to pay his massive price tag.

Is Stubbs going to be better:suds: Must be nice to piss money away

You could write a book on how not to build a roster by using the braves front office logic. How most of the suits kept their jobs is beyond me. But I digress, the Indians ate some of that along with Chris Johnsons terrible contract.

I am still hungover about the whole mess

He is on crack.....this team has no.where near the offense it needs to win. As a brave fan I know that situation all too well.

Teams have won with very comparable offenses, so I don't think it's all the big an issue if the pitching holds up.

if the mets stand pat all season they are done.......

The lineup through 7 games is hitting .187 with a 42 OPS+. You don't think that'll improve greatly, especially considering that since the mound was lowered, the worst OPS+ posted by any team was over 70?

Last year they had a 98 OPS+, the exact same as the Royals in 2015 and just 1 point less than the Giants in 2014. And I don't think the Mets offense is really any worse than it was last year.
