I'd say Matt Ryan currently. A solid case can be made for Zeke too, but voters love QB's so much they always lean that way first. You can forget any defensive players winning it. If JJ Watt couldn't win it two years ago with that incredible season then nobody can.

This is about MVP, show me where a Falcons fan is predicting a Super Bowl run this year.
MVP voting comes before the playoffs.

My bad. I thought this was about a Falcons' fan spouting off about Matty No-Dice being MVP of the league (while said fan still has the opportunity to do so).

If Brady wins it'll be politics.
I think Ryan has staying power in this offense, but obviously it's early.

I hate Tom Brady, but the Pats will try to get him the MVP this season

So in other words, he will be throwing TD's up 41-7 on the Colts, or some shit

Ryan is clearly the best candidate as of today.
What part of that statement confuses you ?

True.
It might make more sense to have an offensive and a defensive MVP without elevating one over the other.

No part. I understand perfectly why a loser fan of a loser QB of a loser team would want to create this thread after 6 weeks.

Julio Jones might be the guy. He's averaging 21 yards a catch on 30 receptions lol. And he toasted Seattle's secondary pretty decently in the second half, with Sherman glued on him. No easy feat.

Matt Ryan is a safe bet, but I just don't trust him. For everyone that calls him Matty Ice, I feel the name is fitting because he always goes ice cold down the stretch or in the playoffs. But STAT wise he's a safe pick at this point.

Also Harrison Smith. Hands down best safety in the NFL and just killing it for the Vikings so far this season.

I know a safety doesn't stand a chance for MVP, but he gets a nod from me.

Tom Brady will probably win MVP lol.

Just love a white guy in the secondary killing it

That there is a dying breed

I don't believe there is a white CB on an NFL roster in the whole league

Except due to missed assignments and switches, Sherman wasn't glued to him, thus the big gains and TD's.

But I agree with him being in the convo for MVP.

It's gotta be Matt Ryan. If not him, then Julio Jones, Tevin Coleman, or Devonta Freeman. A case can probably be made for Chris Chandler or Steve Bartkowski too.

Bartkowski? What about William Andrews? Billy White Shoes Johnson!...

Good grief I'm old.

William Andrews was the best Falcon ever for a short career.
How many people realize he had more yards rushing than Walter Payton over his first 5 seasons, and Sweetness was in his prime. He was also the best blocking back in the game and he could catch the ball.
Too bad he suffered catastrophic damage to a knee, shredded nerves and all.
