I read some scout said travel ball is ruining baseball... All the kids know now is winning and homeruns... :noidea:
It depends...Erik was on DBats top team, and we played kids throwing from 87-88 up to 95-96 all last summer. You're not going to face that kind of pitching in league. It really depends on the level of coaching your kids are receiving as to whether or not they are getting their bang for their buck on fundamentals

Just sharing what I read... I want Dash and Walker to win and hit homeruns...

The Twins have pitchers who throw 95 that don't miss bats. Matter of fact just tonight Ryan Pressly on an 0 - 2 count grooved a 97 mile an hour fastball right down the middle and Jurickson Profar proceeded to lace a single to center scoring the first two runs of the game. Hitters can hit 95 mile an hour fastballs, change in speeds and location have way more to do with it than simply throwing 95. If players stop trying to hit 95 mile an hour fast balls over the fence and rather just tried to go the other way with the pitch there would be much less strikeouts and far better hitting and more runs scored.

This year 13 teams are hitting below .250 in 2001 there were three teams that hit below .250.

So, it's MLB'S fault that their players are dumbasses?

It's not the players fault...
It's not the player's fault that they try to hit a home run every at bat instead of trying to control where the ball goes and swinging a little softer? It's because the fence just seems so close, but if they push it back to give the illusion that it is unattainable, players will only try to get base hits instead?

@UK Cowboy got a question for you... The high school baseball coach is throwing a free clinic here and I plan to take the boys to this spot out here that does individual work... That being said, one of the parents was saying she took her son to the Ole Miss camp and they'd have more in July... I believe there are some at LSU as well... Anyway, my question is, with what I plan to do here plus some work with me and the boys enough or should I take them to those college camps, especially since I saw they're like $150 a kid... Also wanted to know about the school Erik is going to... Are they doing a camp...? How much if so...? Enquiring minds want to know... :noidea:

Correction... $370 full day (9am-4pm) $265 half day (9am-12pm) per child Monday - Thursday at LSU... The LSU head coach/staff/players... Really interested, but you warned me about starting Dash in travel ball this early and you were right... So would that money be better spent with an individual trainer here, or should fork it over and take them to the camp... There's also a camp here at the "academy" here... It's $120 for both, but I'm not sure how long or how many days... I think it's like a weekend thing 9am-12pm type of thing, not sure though...

Spend the $375 on taking the family and few of us SportsHoopla guys to 6 flags that's what you should spend the money on. Odds he becomes a professional player = low. Odds uncle Ritz falls into the fountain and makes the trip memorable = guaranteed

Seriously there are people out there who didn't know who the Bullets were?

I'm confused.
Isn't your local team the Wizards? :noidea:

Yes why?

You said Bullets fan...

Seriously my 19,000th post is this one. Bullets changed their team name to Wizards because it was to offensive and showed DC as a bad city. However the name Redskins isn't offensive? Just because you change the name from Bullets to Wizards will not make the city safer.

It's 100% location. When Erik played in the State All Star game in Round Rock, there was a kid thats commited to Texas that came in throwing 97 mph heat...down the pipe...he got knocked off the mound. 95 down the middle to a major leaguer is straight meat...

Thank you, @Nosferatu for all your help lately. I was in the hospital since Tuesday, just got released yesterday.

Hope you and your son are doing well. Been saying a prayer for you everyday. Glad you are released.
