Why is DJK tweeting about Iowa football? Thought he was so against the program and Ferentz?

that was my first thought too, not sure I would trust a tweet from DJK, but I think it makes sense, Rudock with injury, why wouldn't you start CJ?

Rudock has practiced since Wednesday. As long as I followed DJK, he's been nothing but supportive and cheerful toward the Hawkeyes.

Not wanting to trust DJK tweet, how about the Hawkeye Report?

I am hoping Rudock is back vs the Terps though. As I have thought about it, Rudock has the experience. Once he gets going, his style controls the game more. Beathard has 1 1/2 games.

No thanks. I'll take my chances with Sunshine and go down swinging if we have to. If I see another 30 completion game for under 200 yards I'm going to scream.

The only thing Rudock controls lately is the offense from scoring

CJB from last year has been the far better QB. His style completely opens up the run game because he's more of a threat down field. Jake is a decent QB but has hit his plateau. He has bought into the whole Ferentz ideology that defense will always win football games and offense is just a thing you do

CJB is a far better runner as a QB than Ruddock. I just have always thought what would have CJB produced on those running plays designed for Ruddock?

This situation kind of reminds of the days Brad Banks was in the system. Then KF really didn't know what to do with Banks...and it looks like the same situation with CJB.

the only thing that really worries me is that CJ will follow Jake and in that, he will follow and look for the check down 3 yard pass instead of keeping head up and seeing downfield...I haven't looked, but how tall are these guys? Maybe Jake can't see downfield past the lineman? Say CJ is 6'2" and Jake is 5'10" that is a big difference in being able to see over some of these big lineman...not saying it is an excuse, but it is true.

I really don't care who is in there at QB as long as we play Iowa football and win the game, would love to see a 21 point win tomorrow.

After the first series, sure looks like JR was under center.

Just as conservative in the 2nd series.

The third Iowa series with CJB....TBD

The conservative KF offense has stiffled the skill sets of another Iowa QB. A pick 6....crap.....

this is what I was worried about, the guy who came in last week was loose and had nothing to lose, this kid looks like he had a coach get in his head all week and said we will be doing it my way...guess that bus ride also took it out of the defense, sure 3 sacks, but the rushing yards given up, especially through the middle is ridiculous, Hunt is nowhere near that good...still, they have only scored 3 points on their own

We just need to get some first downs, our O line must makes some blocks for our RB's

I still stand by what I said here.

Hawkeye is right. Beathard = Ruddock = KF offense.

Our punt return team is friggen CLUELESS. No faircatch with pressure when the ball hits at the 25 (and bounces to the 5) Then a faircatch at the 10 with running room :noidea:

And that 3 points was a drive that started at the Iowa 46. Purdue can set the record for most yards as long as they don't score.

I think Iowa's kicker got his pay check. He has been solid the past few games.

hahah, well I asked for a 21 point win and I feel I got it, they scored 3 points against our defense we gave them a gift, take that gift out...and we left 6 points on the field really

We need to just play like it is the second half and I think we need to start on defense first, this whole 3 and out cause we want the ball first is old, seems our defense going first might be better, nice win though, just can't believe we aren't undefeated
