would love to know the story with Lewis, i was guessing he would play some this fall and prob push to start next year. FWIW he had one of the sickest catches i've ever seen a TE make this past spring.

btw sounds like there is a chance that farris doesnt RS and is getting work as the #2 center while Via is playing tackle (while BlakeDC is down).

Most people forget how raw Acree was before coming to Tech. He had absolutely zero DL technique and relied on his strength to make plays. He transferred to FUMA for his senior year in high school to learn DL technique and compete against better players, but didn't play after injuring his knee. Keep in mind that he's only a R-Freshman going into this season. Counting this season, he still has four years to contribute.

Some people are already writing Acree off, he has only been in the program for 1 year. If he can improve and VT gets 2 good years out of him it will be worth the effort..

There should be lots of news coming out tonight after the first practice/mini scrimmage in pads. If the freshman don't show they are ready to play tonight they will be put on a RS list. Any true freshman looking to get some early PT better show well tonight.

I really want to see how Maddy, Farrow, Jarrett, VanDyke, Cole, Harley and Marshall do.

Any idea what type of injury this is (a cut, a bruise, a sprain, etc)? Or any idea exactly what "lower leg" means (ankle, calf, achilles, shin, etc)?
