The teams website. They have been creating a video every few months about the name change. If I was betting I would say it is going to be Commanders. This team will get so ragged on if that is the name.

Fans wanted Warriors. They didn't want to do the Native American thing. Fans, mostly the young demo settled on Red Wolves/Wolves. Couldn't make that happen. I think that's how we landed on Commanders. That's my guess.

Idk what to think anymore. Could easily make the argument for defenders with the dc stars or redhogs with the 'embracing the tradition of the franchise' comments

To summarize Jason’s letter. The team knows what name the fan base wanted, but was unable to reach a business deal with other Wolf named teams (BTW the Timberwolves were able to get their name trademarked relatively recently in 1989, but we couldn't do the same in 2022). Once again the team shows it’s OK with mediocrity and unwilling to do what it takes to be winners. Perfect commentary on what's been wrong with the "Snyder years". Total and continued lack of competence in every aspect of the game.
