Following an interesting summer of recruiting Nebraska has 13 commits thus far 8 of which are on offense. The following, as far as I can tell, are the remaining major targets that have interest in our program.

Running Back

Stephen Carr (5-Star, RB) - The current USC commit is a very soft commit to USC and has expressed interest in Nebraska for months. Carr is mostly a pipe dream at this point but if the Calibraska movement keeps going Carr could end up being a dark horse shot at a big commitment for Nebraska. Not likely though.

Kylin Hill (4-Star, RB) - Hill committed to home state school Mississippi State during the summer but stated that he still wants to take visits. Hill was very high on Nebraska prior to this commitment but his mom wanted him closer to home. Hill though, likes Nebraska a lot, if he visits Nebraska can pay for his parents to come visit too per new NCAA rules if Nebraska can get him into town with his mom... things could happen.

Jarami Peacock (3-Star, RB) - Peacock likes Nebraska but has been more quiet, Nebraska has Carr and Hill above him but might not be able to wait anymore and need to press him more. If Peacock visits we'll see what happens.

Daniel Young (3-Star, RB) - Nebraska's newest offer out of Texas, Young likes Nebraska and will likely visit in the fall. In this list Young seems like the most probable.

Tight End

Kurt Rafdal (3-Star, TE) - Rafdal is a 6'7" talent at TE out of Indiana and Nebraska has a good shot at him. The Huskers want one more TE and Rafdal is #1 on the list. Home state Indiana and Auburn are also in the running as Rafdal has visited all three schools in the summer. Rafdal looks to do some OVs in the fall but Nebraska is in a good spot with him.

Cade Otton (3-Star, TE) - Otton is out of Washington state and looks like a lean to Washington but Nebraska has stayed in his top group. Otton is behind Rafdal as far as desire and likely has Nebraska lower in the pecking order on his list as well. Otton likely won't be a Husker.

Reese Leitao (3-Star, TE) - Nebraska stands a good shot with the TE out of Jenks, Oklahoma if Rafdal decided to go elsewhere. Leitao also has a longer decision timeline than Rafdal so Nebraska can continue to recruit him hard until Rafdal makes his decision. The 6'5" TE wouldn't be a bad consolation prize.

Offensive Line

Foster Sarell (5-Star, OT) - Coach Cav has done a superb job recruiting Sarell but until he gets the man to visit it's hard to see Sarell ending up here. The good news is that Nebraska has 3 offensive line commits already and so Cav can focus ALL of his attention on the top of the line recruits he desires. Sarell is one of those, especially if Cav gets him to visit.

Austin Jackson (5-Star, OT) - Much like Sarell, Jackson is a bit of a long shot but Cav has worked hard on him to keep his interest. Jackson is probably a longer of a long shot than Sarell but anything can happen.

Chuck Filiaga (4-Star, OT) - The good news for Nebraska is that Filiaga is likely leaving Texas, the bad news is that they are behind. The other good news, is much like with Sarell Nebraska can focus all of their attention on him with already having 3 of the 4 offensive line commitments.

Wide Receiver

Joseph Lewis (5-Star, WR) - Lewis is Nebraska's best shot at a 5-star prospect his year it seems and he has fallen in love with Nebraska after coming to the Friday Night lights camp in June. He was going to visit a second the same week Sam Foltz passed away but chose to postpone the visit because he felt it would be inappropriate. He is visiting this weekend instead (Aug 14) and bringing some coaches. While it's unlikely he commits on his visit Nebraska could firmly place themselves in the lead for him for the fall. He's also planning an OV for the fall.

Tyjon Lindsey (4-Star, WR) - Lindsey is another 5-star type receiver (4-star on some services) that Nebraska has a shot with. While things seem to be trending Ohio State's direction with this one it remains to be seen. Lindsey is close to Keyshawn Johnson Jr. and really likes coach Williams. Nebraska would take both if both wanted N. Ohio State is in the lead but Nebraska could make it interesting in the fall.

Jamire Calvin (3-Star, WR) - Calvin is a speedster that Nebraska likes on the edge. He has Nebraska in his top group and it looks like he is a plan B type behind Lindsey. Calvin is not a bad plan B either as he is very similar in build and speed to Lindsey, just not as polished.
