I'm not worried about it...either we'll keep winning, and everyone will realize that the polls are dumb, or we'll prove them right. It'll work itself out.

Please refer to what Nebraska's SOS is. The Miami win could be a good win, and NcNeese State might actually be a good FCS team, but that all has yet to be determined. The only good news out of the weekend is that FAU, Fresno State, and Miami all won their games to sort of help out on the really bad SOS.

Only two teams are 5-0 at this point, both ex-members of the Big 12. BTW, I do not expect a Nebraska win on the road in Lansing. Hopeful? yes.

I think most people realize that entire state is an abomination so the others perceive their football team as the same except for that run they had in the 90s that they never shut up about

I'm starting to feel bad for Nebraska. They just need someone to pay attention.

It's funny, they win this weekend and they're probably in the top 10. Lose and they're out of the top 25 completely. It's why I hate polls, especially before at least the last couple weeks.

Why? I'm not at all concerned where we are currently ranked. This same time frame last year Auburn was unranked. In fact, they didn't crack the top 25 till October 13th, went on to win the SEC, and play in the national title. Michigan State didn't crack the top 25 till October 27th. They would have undoubtedly been included in a playoff of 4 teams last year.

Win, you rise in the rankings. Lose, you fall in the rankings. A concept that even a 5 year old can understand, yet escapes the grasp of a number Hooplans. Go figure?:noidea:

The path isn't that clear, Nebraska could go undefeated and have only beat 1 ranked team. - Essentially, they could beat everybody and still need big help from every team in front of them in the polls after next week.

It sucks, but it's true.

Football Committe rule #3817:

A team that gets beat 38-17 by Iowa the previous year cannot make it into the CFB Playoff the following year.

It's also called the "Pelini" rule amongst committee members

You do remember that they only beat McNeese State by 7? I have Nebraska ranked above us on my poll, but I think a 4 point loss to LSU is better than that.

There must be a secret club on SportsHoopla. The fan bases of other schools are creating threads about Nebraska but if a Nebraska fan says anything the Nebraska fan base is the bad guy.

If they win this weekend, then you will hear how everybody was wrong about Michigan St.

Where the Oregon loss is currently proof of how good the Ducks are, it will turn to proof of how bad Michigan St actually was.

Michigan St will be replaced by a PAC conference opponent for their "quality win".

It's because the majority of Hooplans hang on every espn word. They eat that stuff up like an episode of "American Idol". They're like chicks watching "The View".

Because espn said so. amirite?

The fact is IF Nebraska stays unbeaten they will be in the Play-Off as long as there are less than 4 other undefeated teams.

They play Wisconsin head-to-head. Will it really matter?

Did ESPN say that? I guess they and I have an SEC bias. So, if BYU goes undefeated should they expect to automatically be in too?

I ask about BYU because right now I'd say they have the best chance of going undefeated the rest of the CFB season, but their schedule sucks.
