BIG game this week. ND coming off 2 so so games. If they want to win this game they need Golson to play much better. Stop fumbling the ball. The Int I can live with but fumbles kill you. THis should be an exciting game. If we play like we did this past weekend FSU will kill us. D played its worst game. If we had trouble taking UNC QB down well we are going to have trouble taking down Winston. I am really nervous about this game. I want a win in a bad way but if we lose just keep it close. 11-1 ND team with a close loss to the #1 team should get us in.

I'm not nervous at all. I expect Notre Dame to lose at Tallahassee but will be thrilled if they win. I hope we just throw everything we got at them.

If our defense plays like it did for most of the season excluding the north carolina game we should be in it to win it as long as the offense take care of the ball. Fsu defense isn't as good as last year

We have a better red zone offense in terms of scoring tds as we score tds 71% of the time in the red zone while they score tds 65% of the time. However we only score 89% of the time while they score 96% of the time in the red zone

Teams look evenly matched going by the numbers and both played a similar schedule with ND sos being ranked 40th and fsu at 44

ND will be in trouble if they give up 43 points to the Noles.

how about we don't put Golson in obvious passing situations. I want the same game plan as Oklahoma two years ago.

If we had trouble with UNC QB we will have trouble with Winston.

We need to use our running backs more. Stats say that we have had more running plays than passing plays. However, when you factor in the running plays by players other than running backs, the running back attempts are less than 35% of the total plays.

Is disagree with the "hot hand" strategy for running backs. That is code for "you better not make a mistake". Often running backs get better as the game progresses and none of our backs get enough carries to find their groove.

I saw what I presume to be the post-game presser of Kelly's and him talking about the TOs. Kelly was asked what can be done about Golson's TOs. Kelly's like, well we'll just continue to support him... blah blah blah. Really coach?

Wasn't it Lou, I know many coaches have done this but memory is telling me there was someone that had fumble-itis and Lou made him carry a ball around campus the whole week and even told students that they should try 'stripping' him of the ball... does that ring a bell for anyone? I'm getting old-er... 44 tomorrow, I'm kind of glad my birthday comes in between games though I love the years it falls on a Saturday. I swear that story came out of ND for one of our guys back in the 90s perhaps?

Anyway, point being, there's ways to cure the kid, you just gotta show some tough love coach. FFS, Golson had a year off, went to this fucking QB guru and in all that time he hasn't learned how to cover the damned ball? Who the funk is coaching these kids that fundamentals are so poor? McCoy is the same way as are many other QBs/RBs. It's like we just stopped teaching fundamentals at all levels. That doesn't seem possible...

Kinda surprising ... thought it might be the other way around.

Ya, I think our holder for FGs can be blamed for the 89%.
