Lets Go Irish. Alright we got hit hard with another injury losing now our #1 and #2 RB for the season. We now have CJ(1st real year playing RB) and Adams(True Freshman) and Williams(true Freshman).
I still think we can be ok. i like what I saw from CJ and Adams. No more injuries on that spot.

I would say that this can be a trap game but to be honest its to early in the season to have a trap game. This team is fired up and know every game is important. I expect ND to pitch another blow out.

This has nothing to do with this thread but I have no clue where to put it. Does this name sound familiar: Eddie Vanderdoes. He picked ND and after committing he switched to UCLA. He was a top prospect in High School. He just tore his ACL.

It's too bad he got injured but it doesn't matter much to me as he's not a Notre Dame player.

I hate to see any of these kids get injured. But he didn't wait until the last minute to bail. He signed his LOI and then he bailed. there are always guys that change their mind on NSD, but he waited until after he signed to change his mind. we will never know for sure who we might have signed had Eddie let us know before NSD.

I'm pretty sure he wanted his sister to get a scholarship with him and then blamed it on his grandma's illness when he flipped. Some bullshit along those lines. Screw him and the goat he rode in on , but that being said I hate to see anyone get injured.

Between Tarean Folston and Jordy Nelson going down, this football season isn't starting out the way I hoped. Jarron Jones too.

Calling any team overrated/underrated based on one half of football is border line retarded
nope just true. OSU is over rated. Win or lose. I guess u aren't watching the game because they don't look that great. They are suppose to be #1. Yes over rated.

True road games against a solid opponent is never easy. There is a reason why most of the top teams never schedule true road games to open the season. Virginia Tech isn't some 3 win team.

I wouldn't necessarily say OSU is over-rated, maybe VT is a bit under-rated.

I'd merely say, they look beatable and that's enough for me. I'd be more worried about the teams we'll be saying DON'T look beatable as weeks go by...

Maybe I should qualify that so I'm not misunderstood. I think about 30 teams have a claim to #1, OSU being one of em. It's just that by way of what they did last year that they get to start #1 due to opinions, this year... which of course has been ridiculous since ever.

Heard he injured it while celebrating after a play. Kinda reminds me of Martin Grammatica that one time. Sheldon Day did something similar as a freshman. He was in on a play and nearly got the sack before one of his other teammates did it. I couldn't tell if Sheldon was angry he didn't get the sack or happy for his team mate, but he started jumping up and down and then reached down and grabbed his knee. I think that little dance he did cost him a couple of weeks.

Anyway, I digress. I hope ND can sustain its momentum. UVA is not that good, they have a serviceable defense, but the most apt description of them is that they are good enought to beat us if we think we can win just by showing up. Im all for putting them away and letting Kizer and Co. take over the 4th quarter. Our starters will need the rest going into Ga. Tech.

Their fan base is not expecting a win, and from what I have heard, it will not feel like an away game for us, we will have a significant fan presence in the stadium this week. All the more reason to finish them off quickly and without any more injuries please.
