ND hires DC

kelly said he hired a new DC outside of ND. He cant say who. that means its someone still in a bowl game or some one still in the NFL playing.

yes he said it after the game. Im very interested in who it is. I hope its a big name or a good recruiter.
I feel if ND starts losing more Coaches they will start to lose some recruits.

Word is it might be VanGorder from the Jets. He use to be the DC at Grand valley state. He has been DC at Georgia who only 18pts per game and he was DC at Atlanta. At the college level he has always improved the teams D.

Well he isn't a Notre Dame coach but has ties to Brian Kelly. The Jets also have a good defense, yes he is only the Linebacker coach but they are still a good unit. I'm not sure that is a hire that is going to get people fired up from a recruiting stand point but he has coached in the SEC and recruited the area.

good defensive coach not a big recruitment bump. not to sound mean but he looks like he touches little boys(his looks not saying he does). just thought we would get some one a little younger and some who can relate more with these young kids. i guess we just have to wait and see

Yes but that may not have been the defense's fault, he did a really good job a Georgia, we'll have to wait and see.
