I will take a different tack

How long until the pampered athletes complain about the quality of their food?

You just know that they will do it.

The students that go to school eat Ramen Noodles, worry about buying books, worry about medical care, worry about paying all the extra "fees" that schools charge, worry about buying season football tickets at $300, but the pampered athlete gets it all given to him.

Not enough those pampered athletes claim!! In the great wisdom of the Ohio State QB, Cardale Jones, "Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play football, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are pointless."

Not only do I need to be pampered, but SHOW ME DA MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good points. Very shortly there will be some college athlete who hires a lawyer and sues said college or the NCAA for exactly this. And the sad thing is... They will win.
Meanwhile all non athletes get basically shafted.

Anything that results from an actual tangible injury while playing. A torn ACL? Covered for life.

The college should pay for this AFTER said player leaves college? Really?

Absolutely. It's outright criminal they don't currently do so.

How many tattoos does Shabazz Napier have and how did he pay for them?

Does Shabazz Napier walk around in one year old sneakers or do you think he has a closet full of $500 sneakers?

I googled the cost of a full sleeve tattoo, upwards of $1,000. A four hour tattoo is around $100 per hour.

No. Any expenses incurred for life from injuries that occur while they are in the program.

I went to a D-3 school for crying out loud, a couple decades ago and the only time athletes went hungry is when they chose not to go and eat. My old roomate was an athletic trainer for a pretty crappy football team in the big10 and they were served like freaking kings. I can't imagine the better schools had less. I just have a really hard time believing that the athletes were going hungry by anything other than their own choosing and I hardly feel sorry for them.

How about a top 10 list of current players that are the happiest about this new food rule?

Would they all be offensive linemen?

If that's the case, isn't this also equivalent to the average student taking out student loans to pay for school? I think the college should now pay for the student loans of the average student after they graduate b/c those usually take about 10 + years to pay for. Yes, that sounds fair.

That is the worst analogy I've ever seen.

Did you think about him having friends or family members that does his tattoos for cheap?
