Nats complete an 8-2 road trip with a 4-game sweep in New York. Span also extends hitting streak to 23, second longest in Nats history (Zimmerman, 30 games in 2009)

Nats take 2 out of 3 from the Phils. In the 19 game stretch against the Marlins, Mets & Phillies, the Nats went 14-5. Pretty damn good...yet probably not good enough.
Nats are 4.5 back (4 in the loss column) with 13 to play. Reds have 12 left. If the Reds go .500 (6-6), the Nats would have to go 11-2 to force a playoff. That's not promising considering they still have series' left against the Braves, Cards and D-Backs. There's a 4-gamer against the Marlins thrown in there, too, but I fear this mountain may be to steep to climb. Give it a shot, though, fellas!
