I'm not saying bench Zunino, but he has caught more than anyone else and he needs more days off. Besides, it could actually help him to be able to get some rest and come at the offensive woes with a clear head and approach it in a different manner.

Yeah, I agree.

Based on his total number of PA as a pro, any competent team would maybe be calling up Zunino for the first time this September. Making him the everyday C for the past 2 seasons was a lot to put on him, and there's no way it hasn't taken a toll.

The M's definitely need try to find a new catcher with comparable ability behind the plate and, of course, better ability to hit, and either get Z more time in the minors or make him a backup.

Anyway, John Farrell just announced that he's been diagnosed with Stage 1 lymphoma, so he won't be managing the Sox for the rest of the season, most likely. Will be a somber game, I'm thinking.

Things have been going pretty well overall for the offense, but I didn't realize it was quite that good with EBH.

Getting to .500 would be a nice accomplishment for this team, and with the remaining schedule, it really should be doable.

Yeah, they've been playing pretty well. I remember hearing a few games ago that the Mariners are hitting 15 points higher since hiring Edgar.

Wow, the M's defense has the 3rd fewest errors in the AL. I'm sure they aren't as good at the range, but I would have thought it would be higher.
