M's TV schedule up...160 of 162 games being broadcast

I bought that thing for so many years I promised my wife at the end of last season we wouldn't do it. I was hoping with all the hype they would be playing national games so it wouldn't hurt me so much.

I'm with you man, I've been shelling out the dough for both NFL Ticket & Extra Innings for years; even the NBA package when we had a reason to watch. It's not cheap, but worth it if you utilize it. I manage to watch about 90% of the games, and after so many years of garbage year after year this may be the year it finally pays off.

I just use MLB tv. I can watch on phone, computer, tablet or tv. Its nice especially if you do a lot of traveling.

I'm sure the yankees and boston will have something like 20 regular broadcast games and 142 on the MLB network, espn and fox.

I did all 3 for years as well. I actually watched 100% of the M's games for a decade...man I was a gluten. Somehow I will probably end up doing it after the free week especially if they get off to a fast start. She loves watching them as much as I do.

LOL! Yeah, I do the best I can to watch 100%, but work screws me sometimes. I too am a gluten, but I think this is our year my friend. Highlights won't be enough.

Since the Mariners own Root Sports, they don't have to go begging to the major networks to have games broadcast on them. They're making money by the truckload with Root. Let Fox and ESPN suck off the Yankees and Red Sox all they want.

I wish Root Sports had a stand alone option that i could stream from a xbox, slingbox or appletv. I'll be listening to games for the second straight year

True, but it'd be nice getting a different broadcast crew in their, I like Rizz and every now and then Blow but the rest is just blah. Plus, I'm there are so many Buhner commercials I can handle on Root, I get it NWMS moved to Valley Ave

I cannot stand Blowers, the guy NEVER shuts up and rambles on like he's on coke or something. For a guy who thinks he knows everything he sure as hell didn't use that knowledge during his career.

He talks like hes being paid by the word or something so he tries for 5000 words per minute.

I really wish there was a way to hear the games without the announcers because Rizzs is the only one I like but he doesn't get to do TV for the most part.

Dave Simms is a nice guy but every time he says something like blah blah player is 1-27 vs Seattle in his career you know that 2 seconds later that person is going to hit a grand slam off of us. I don't know how he does that but he does it a lot.

one of my favorite announcers for the m's was paciorek, and he was only around for 2001. i don't remember if he even did any tv stuff for us, but i was driving a lot that year, and he was great on the radio, IMO.
