During the highlights of their game last night on Fox Sports 1 they jokingly said their were 5 fans in the stands. At some point the league has to do something. Besides Vegas would be great for Bobby Lou. He'll be able to play Texas Hold'em all year long.

They were up to five?!? Dang, they must've been giving away free concession vouchers to veterans and a few homeless guys wandered in.

Plus it would screw up my convenient and cheap outings while visiting my in-laws in Fort Lauderdale.

According to an article in the New York Post, the NHL has chosen William Foley, a billionaire businessman, and the Maloof family, former owners of the Sacramento Kings, to be the potential owners of a Las Vegas expansion team.

So, once the league is there, how long until an NHL player is implicated in a game fixing scandal?

There are reasons why no other pro sport is there. They are all smart enough to avoid that kind of question. The NFL, which until recently had no problem with a myriad of crimes, doesn't want anything to do with it.

Interestingly enough, this ownership group is getting out of the NBA biz because they sold the Kings who are moving to Seattle. So does this mean there will be no Seattle NHL team?

Eh, I feel like this could happen anywhere (as has somewhat been seen already). Gambling is a worldwide thing, it goes well beyond just Vegas. Russian mobsters and Asian gambling rings can get to people if they want to, they don't need low level Vegas hustlers in order to have an in.

Yeah, but they can at least claim a distance from ground zero for illegal influence.

Besides, there is no business in the area outside Casinos. Skybox ticket base will bee whatever high roller is in the Palms that week, and the rest of the tickets will be distributed among people who couldn't get in to see Celine Dion or Penn and Teller.

Certain players can't be controlled on the road in a place like Carolina. WTF are they going to be like in Vegas? Patrick Kane will probably kill a cabbie or two.
