I would be surprised if he is not playing this fall. "indefinitely" tag gets used a lot. Rarely are kids thrown off the team. This gives the coach the chance to walk up to the podium and say, "DBG did a great job this summer. HE did everything we asked him to do and we are so proud of how much he has grown as a man. We look forward to welcoming him back for the XXX game".. I would add "arent I a hard ass? I banned him from summer workouts in 90 degree heat and it reformed him just in time to win a conference game"

This ... indefinitely means he will be playing this fall. Happens every year.

Trust me, I know he wasn't that great in terms of lock down corner. The truth is go back to 2011 and look at how many yards LSU gave up in some games. They gave up yards, but thats not an issue when you have a guy like Mathieu getting 8 interceptions, forcing 7 or so fumbles, returning punts for touchdowns, and scoring defensive touchdowns. If he plays the whole year and didn't get suspended, I think he could/should have had a claim as a realistic candidate for the Heisman. If Mathieu didn't get it, it will be a LONG time before a defensive player wins it.

Side note: the Heisman is a sham, there should be a defensive equivalent award. If you aren't a quarterback you have no chance. It is about the best player on the best team instead of who the best player is. Or who can pad up the most stats against pansy teams. /end of rant

I don't believe charges were filed with Michael Dixon and he went on to have a good career and Memphis' basketball team and no one seemed to make a big deal about it. They have a precedent for guilty until proven innocent. Although since football makes more money, maybe he'll get the Jameis Winston treatment.

I'm seeing tweets where the girlfriend and the roommate are not going to file charges. However the police have text messages showing that the girlfriend is worried about pressure from the media and the community so the police may file anyway.

However with uncooperative victims it would be an up hill battle for them.

Damn! Props to Mizzou that wasn't an easy thing to do but I totally respect the fact that they did. I'll give the fans credit also you haven't seen then blindly defending DBG either like so many fan bases do at times.
