Pretty positive this is due to finding a pound of weed in his car back in January. That's what is led to believe at least.

I think Green-Beckham could be the best WR in college football this year. Even if this goes as far as him needing to leave Mizou, which may happen, he could easily transfer to an FCS school or go the JUCO route and still make the big bucks.

Not true, I actually had been thinking the same thing. Colorado does not allow it on their campus and I would assume the athletic departments would need to stick to the same standards.

I know Mizzou suspended Michael Dixon because he only allegedly was the worst kind of person but this seems silly. The university must know something we don't

Sadly he was probably part of the operation. LSU had that issue not too long ago with some past players and Matheiu when he was trying to make his comeback. I can't hate on some of these guys for doing this kind of thing because for a decent bit of them, it's how they grew up. But seriously if you have a big name like this guy just suck it up and make the big NFL money.

Yeah, but this is closer to suspending Patrick Peterson in terms of projected NFL talent. DGB was likely a top 10 pick next year. Id be shocked if he wasnt playing

In terms of NFL talent alone, absolutely. But in terms of on the field play makers, you can't deny there will be very few like Mathieu to ever touch a college football field. Kid was a ball hawk, I have never seen anything like it. If he stays clean LSU had a legit chance at a return trip to the national title in 2012.

I would be surprised if he is not playing this fall. "indefinitely" tag gets used a lot. Rarely are kids thrown off the team. This gives the coach the chance to walk up to the podium and say, "DBG did a great job this summer. HE did everything we asked him to do and we are so proud of how much he has grown as a man. We look forward to welcoming him back for the XXX game".. I would add "arent I a hard ass? I banned him from summer workouts in 90 degree heat and it reformed him just in time to win a conference game"

They may still try to be morally superior. I mean hey for Mathieu it only took over 10 (and so many failed drug test that Matheiu can't even remember) before he was booted.
