AKA - I'm a little bitch.

Whiny girl needs to shut his fucking mouth. Hey Holliday, I wish you never did a DIRTY-ASS slide against Scutaro. Keep your mouth closed dumby. That is all. I guess "less than tough" is only for pitchers who hit batters.....not for LF'ers that outweigh a 2B by at least 45lbs going in with a dirty slide about 2 steps too late.

Worst MVP vote ever? Guess the players involved:

Player A won the NL MVP: 5.8 WAR .299/.347/.373
Player B finished second: 10.2 WAR .304/.384/ .615

Both of their respective teams won over one hundred games, with one team edging out the other on the last day of the season.

Pendleton's popularity contest over Barry?

IIRC, that happened to Mays in the early 60s...I'm thinking he's B. A would then have to be.....complete wild ass guess here: Maury Wills?

Pendleton is DEFINITELY one of them...

After re-reading, I understand what you are saying. I thought the two players were from different years.

A = Pendleton, B = Bonds.

I assumed the opposite; I assumed since GP said "MVP vote" that both players are from the same year. I remember reading a few months ago about how Mays was totally jobbed on the MVP vote in, IIRC, 1962.

It can't be Pendleton / Barry, as the Pirates and the Braves weren't in the same division back then. (Remember 1993 when the Giants lost the NL West to the fucking east coat Braves, even though they won 103 games? The Braves didn't move into the NL east until the NL went to 3 divisions.)

And it can't be 1993, as I just don't see Barry with a WAR under 6 (when healthy) and didn't he win the MVP that year - the first year he was with the Giants?

I'd guess that it happened before I started watching baseball.

We have a winner!

1962 MVP: Wills edged out Mays 209 to 202. That was the year Wills stole 104 bases.

Good point on the NL west vs NL east

I was thinking it was in Barry's pirate days, I think he got the MVP in 93? I remember he had a string of MVPs in the early 90s
