Joique bell put up 900 yards last year, we got reggie bush, we got leshoure, we got CJ, we got burelson, we got broyles, we got pettigrew, we got scheffler.........thats 8 guys ahead of thomas.......so the lions 9th option will get that many touches? Sorry outside of a serious or a boatload of injuries, i just dont see it happening.

Its OK Tpaul, every player on the lions isnt great. I know you love the lions, but the truth is the truth. If mike thomas had the tools to be pretty good, i think the jags, who could use receivers woulda found a way to keep him.

Also comparing thomas to hester last year is laughable.....the bears didnt even want hester last year. I live in chicago, and they are on hesters ass everyday in the tribune. I wouldnt be surprised if hester was released this preseason. Now peterson i dont really see enough. But id take him to play CB anyday. But hester is washed up.

4 guys on the lions had 35 or more receptions last year......CJ, bell, sheffler, and pettigrew.

Kevin smith started 2 games last year and didnt even have 200 yards rushing. Just dont see a guy whos gonna do end arounds getting more than 200 yards rushing for the season, unless hes super incredible and keeps breaking off 40 yarders.

But we are talking about the lions 4th WR. but i guess since the draft is over we have nothing else to talk about. But i just dont see our 4th WR and 4th RB putting up those stats. Bell got alot of his stats towards the end of the game while the team was in prevent. Bell kept getting dump offs. I see his production falling off now that we got bush. Those dump offs towards the end will now be to bush. Thomas will be used just like robiske was. Get a piece of that bench son.....maybe see 10-15 snaps a game......maybe

Cleaves you have to think is TPaul writing pre bowl or post bong... he is hit or miss. Sometimes his Ziggy 3D homer glasses bring out the 53 man pro bowl roster the Lions have!

Lol we all know he loves his lions....from player number 1 to player number 53. I wonder if he was a tiger fan, would he of felt that way towards raburn and inge last year.

Also...in 2010...the only season Mike returned punts full time he had 34 for 358 a 78 yard TD for an average of...........10.52

and yet the Jags sought to replace him completely as a returner. teams don't just replace dangerous and quality returners for no reason. the comparison of Peterson and Hester last year to Thomas is ridiculous because teams specifically tried to limit those two dangerous return men by kicking away from them or trying to pin them on the sideline. you aren't making a comparison between players that is even close to be realistic.

No the Jags tried to make him their #1 receiver so they limited his returns. And the comparison is yards per return..10 yards a return is definitely not terrible...that was my point.

Scary thing is...... He IS a Tigers fan. If he posted over on the other board I might not even get away with talking about Peraltas shit range, Putkonens awfulness, or the triplets growing in Genos abdomin. (Smiley face, but with a possibility of being somewhat serious:)

You forgot to mention avilas bat with the big ole hole in it. Every once in awhile he accidently uses vmarts bat and hits a game winning HR and we forget all about his bat........until he strikes out like 5 times in a row.....i think if i could throw lefty, id strike his ass out too.

TP and I don't see eye to eye on much Lions stuff, both fans nonetheless.......I'd give TP a coronary on the Tigers boards as much as I talk smack about Leyland, Geno and I'll never let go of my two favorite whipping boys in Inge and Raburn.

I love me some Avila.....But that's just one of the guys I like batting 8th.....Could we use a Santana or Posey? Sure Atleast Alex isn't batting cleanup, Then I would have serious issues with JL if they arn't serious enough yet.

He's less shitty as a catcher than he used to be. I'll give him that. But he's still so damned slow behind the plate. Drives me nuts. Wouldn't matter to me if he hit a buck fiddy if he could move his feet.

Sounds like we'd get along swimmingly on the Tigers board, not a Leyland fan, meh on Geno and can't stand Raburn. I was 50/50 on Inge because of his glove, but the streaky hitting just got old...

I must be the only guy alive that thinks the Tigers are lucky to have Leyland as their manager.
