Said it is going to take time with RG3 to transform into a pocket passer. He said he feels Griffin could be as effective as he was his rookie year but that all depends on Robert. He said Griffin would have to study and watch film like he never has before. He said it in a way that led you to believe that Griffin doesn't watch nearly enough film as he should or needs to. Robert has not been watching film enough and perfecting his craft, but he has been called out now by several people, and knows what he needs to do. He showed some good signs yesterday. Let's see if he can keep it going next week. The rest is up to him. Thanks for the update

what makes Peyton Manning so good? It is his preparation and/or desire to be good. Griffin is more athletic and has a better arm. There isn't any reason he couldn't be a lot better. It is not hard to see how 2 HCs have been frustrated with him.

The guy has exceeded his whole life, graduated from H.S. in 3 yrs...
With honors.

The two head coaches Griffin has had told you he doesn't put in the time. It has been hinted at many other times. His play suggests he does not put in the time.

Yeah when the guys who coach him say it, well those are pretty good clues. And to nobody's surprise this was the coaching source Steve Young was quoting a month ago.

No one has ever accused RGIII of not working hard... but it seems clear his idea of hard work is the gym, not the film room. Thats got to change if he wants to succeed in the NFL. He's learning what 1000 other college star QBs have learned already - Physical talent gets you no where in the NFL, you need to play smart. And that means film work, and RGIII needs to get that lesson right quick. Its sad and shocking that he hadn't already learned that lesson, that it may take 3 years for him to get that, if he even does. I know he's capable, not sure why he has refused to apply himself to the film room thus far.

I think the comment that Griff works hard but on the wrong thing is pretty spot on. With that said "the 2nd or 3rd person" is a bit misleading. Steve Young made the comment, quoting one of Griffin's former coaches. Everyone knew he was talking about Shanahan so when Mike says it again a month later it's not a 2nd person saying it, it's the same person repeating it. Let's get that clear.
