On Hassan, my thoughts are, the Heat are not entirely sold about Hassan Whiteside. That isn't a bad thing. They simply realize he's got things to work on. Thats not a bad thing at ALL. So, with that being said, they won't throw all the money his way but they will certainly make sure they pay him enough to keep him around and happy while still maintaining flexibility to continue to improve the roster which is much needed.

Not to perfection -- because there is really no such thing as perfection, but Riles always finds a way to do what he can to satisfy his players while still looking out for the better of the team now and in the future.

I've always felt that Riley planned to keep Whiteside.
Bosh is the X factor.

I agree with you. Riley see's the talent. I see them offering $18 mil, limiting themselves to $20 mil per. But he has a lot to work on - particularly as it relates to post work and defense in the post and on pick-n-rolls.

As far as Bosh goes, I think the Heat are considering their options at this juncture. They'll either ride with Bosh or try to force him into retirement if this will be an ongoing issue. Bosh was the difference between us losing in the 2nd round to going to the ECF.

But Riley needs to construct this roster to where it has a chance to compete. I like how he was mostly critical of Dragic. There's no excuses for him this time - he's settled and he's making close to max deal money. He needs to step up if this team's going to be a contender.
