Game Thread: Miami Heat month of December Game Thread

Well, a couple of good wins but perhaps too beat up to close down the stretch. Awful 4th quarter performance at home all around against a team that had lost 5 straight. This team is who it is right now. A team that struggles when they play anybody 500 and above. At least, they are winning the games they are suppose to against weak competition but this was a game at home that you have to win. Horrible FT shooting and turnovers doomed them. Waiters and Dragic disappeared in the 4th against decent competition. Below 500 we go. Let’s see if they recover at Charlotte. Embarrassing 2nd half performance.

On to Charlotte. THe Heat will have to rediscover the art of getting to the free throw line and making free throws before facing those floppers again

Next 3 games are against Hornets, Clippers, and Hawks. Go 2-1 in those games, hope Hassan is cleared for practice and pray that he is back by middle next week

We're a much better road team. The one good thing I can say about this team is even though they're an avg basketball team, they're a good road team.

Been extremely disappointing in Dragic though. He has not stepped up since Hassan been out which is what we needed from him. He had 2 or 3 solid games in the 7 straight games that Whiteside missed. Been shitty in the other games.

Thanks big homie. If we get Hassan back shortly, we should be able to go on a mini run and get 3 or 4 games over .500 by end of December/Early January

We are officially in the favorable part of our schedule. From December 15th thru January 7th, very nice schedule. Need to get healthy and stay healthy ASAP.

Hopefully Winslow injury is nothing too serious

It seems like the Winslow situation will only be for a week. So, hopefully Hassan and Winslow will be back in soon.

Still, with or without Hassan/Winslow the Heat have consistently had issues with making FTs and turnovers - so I dont know how their return will help us in either of the two areas but the Heat must find a way to overcome these issues asap otherwise it doesnt matter who is upcoming on their schedule.

Goran, Waiters, Richardson, JJ, K.O starting tonight for Heat - Walton Jr. recalled in the absence of Winslow but I doubt Spo will give much or any minutes to anyone beyond those that have gotten any minutes this season regardless.

+5 after 1 for Heat. Some foul trouble early on. Spo will need to stop being stubborn and more willing to go deeper into the bench with this early foul trouble and guys down - cant keep the same rotation all game long under these circumstances

Agreed. Although last game the Heat just got away from a lot of what was working in the first half as to why they lost.

I think tonight they will not do that and finish the job early enough to get rest for tomorrow
