If this really is a different Miami team than the ones we've seen coached by Philbin the past couple of years, then a win at Jacksonville will happen. The Jags are a bad team and I expect a 27-13 type of win by the Phins. No more letdowns, no more losing to bad teams.

I feel pretty good though, as I think the offense is starting to really grasp the new offense (especially Tanny) and will continue to improve as the season goes on. The defense is good. Jordan is back and maybe we can see some things on the field to remind us why he was drafted so high.

I can agree with a lot of what you're saying. But the problem lies in the fact that Miami only has a few 'bad teams' left on their schedule. Minnesota & the Jets....every other team is pretty good(including Buffalo btw-we haven't beaten them in almost 2 full seasons-just sayin....). Soooooo, this team has to prove they can beat quality opponents. Detroit, San Diego, Baltimore, Denver, even the Jets in NY. IF this team can play up to their potential, there is no reason why Miami cannot contend for the division title. If Philbins 'shoddy coaching' rears its ugly head as we play some of the tough games, we will be staring down the barrel of yet another 8-8 (or 6-10) season. No longer is this about 'lack of talent' or 'quality players'. A solid head coach should have this team in the thick of a division crown. We're about to see what Philbin is truly made of.....

INACTIVES:

OT Jason Fox
DT Anthony Johnson
S Jimmy Wilson
LB Koa Misi
G Shelley Smith
G Billy Turner
TE Harold Hoskins

Dolphins backup linebacker Jason Trusnik will start in place of Misi, who has been dealing with an ankle injury. It’s also important to mention that former first-round pick Dion Jordan is active for his first game this season. Jordan came off a six-game suspension on Saturday.

Do you think Miami will exercise the option on Tannehill? I don't know....15 million is a lot of coin for a guy that has been consistently inconsistent throughout his entire career. How he performs the rest of this year will no doubt determine whether he stays in S. Florida or not.

I think Tanny will turn the corner this year. He may not be the best QB in the world but look at what dalton got. The team around him will be good enough for some bowl runs...:suds:

Agreed bad coaching could hurt their chances this year...

Soft pass D for the fins so far - no reason for letting these guys convert on third down so much already. We are lucky not to be down yet already in this game. The longer we allow the Jags to stay in this game, the more dangerous they are. We have to force them to run in order to have a chance - because they might destroy us in the passing game with our soft coverage

Play calling caused that sack on Tannehill - thats not a time or area to go for a pass that takes time - you should run it to create space

Then he targets Brian Hartline , which of course he drops and almost gets intercepted... All sorts of bad on this drive so far

The inconsistencies for the Fins continue... That said, people need to realize this isnt on Tannehill or Philbin, Lazor is the one making the calls and they have been questionable and inconsistent to this point in the season.

Same thing that was horrible in Chicago, is horrible again today in Jacksonville. Pathetic play at the guard position. Man, we really could use a quality guard. By my count, that's 5 sacks in 4 quarters allowed by the guard position that College is occupying in todays game. Ridiculous....

Guard play is often iffy for the fins - still, the play call is where it starts and where things started to go bad on that play... We need to stop calling plays that take so much time to develop - we just dont have the discipline to execute those.

Louis Delmas returns it for 81 yards on the INT. A great pickup in the offseason for us .

Again, the Fins have to find a way to put the nail in the coffin early or it could be trouble.

I concur....I knew it would be an instant upgrade if he could only stay healthy. Delmas has been a pretty consistent playmaker over the course of his career. Great read on Bortles, great break for the ball. This defense continues to 'gel'. Awesome....

Denard Robinson doing what he wants to us - He is the Jags offense and we are doing nothing about it

It seems like its the season of giving for the Fins already - they are giving the Jags countless chances to stay in this game and eventually take it

Coyle needs to start putting 8 in the box, forcing Bortles to beat us. Get the Jags into obvious passing downs and send the heat. Hard to believe he has no answers for this 'high powered' offense thus far. Cmon defense, damn....
