Were any of you hoping for Darqueze Denard from MSU?

I wasn't. I don't think we need cb help, especially in the first round.

I wanted Moseley

Me too... Ravens took Ray Lewis one pick in front of Packers back in late 90s... now they take Mosely a few picks ahead of Packers this year.

Clinton Dix is ho-hum pick for me... addresses a need, but do not see him being a star in the league.

Clinton Dix posted pic 2 weeks ago in a Packers tee shirt... maybe it was an omen.

Our safeties had zero interceptions last year, nowhere to go but up.

I liked Mosley Alabama. But I did watch Nick Collins end his career literally right in front of me at the Panthers Stadium a few years ago and the Packers have not been able to fill that void. I'm hoping like other Packer fans (none of us know the future i.e. injury, bad decision, etc..) that this kid learns the system and fills the void.

He fills a need so hopefully it works out. I just want someone that will not get beat over the top and can be a sound tackler in the run game.

The Packers need help at Saftey

Dix was the best available at that position and he surprisingly fell into Thompson's lap at 21

I love the pick

I'd still love us to get a guy like CB Pierre Desir in Round 2 today. Great size, coverage skills and high-character guy. I know some don't feel we need a CB but this will be Tramon's last year here and we all know we can't have Davon House starting.......just no

If Desir not there, ASJ, Amaro, Cody Latimer, Jordan Matthews, Ra'Shede Hageman or Louis Nix all great options

I trust the Packers scouts, and I don't know enough about the prospects to give any sort of analysis. But the Packers could upgrade almost any position on that team. I do think we could use DB's. I don't know where they all rate though. If GB feels that a DB is on the board that is the best player they can get, get him. If they think it's a Guard? Get him, a tackle? get him. DL?WR? get him. I think you get where I am coming from :)

I figured we were going with a WR in the second round but I preferred Latimer.

I like that pick. Again, i know shit, but I watched his reel and he appears strong with excellent hands and control of his body in the air. I'm always leery of the WR's that put up big numbers in college running wide open all the time and how they transition to the NFL. He had a ton of catches over people thru people, with 2 guys on him. Great concentration and hands. They can teach the rest, run a good route and be where you're supposed to be and you'll get the ball. Speed is nice, but I think it's a bit overrated at times over the other parts. I think he has plenty of speed, he's just not a burner. Great pick I think.

I think he's similR to Jordy coming out of college but just less precise on his routes than he was

So what do you all think of the rest of the draft? Really stocked up on wr now. Bradford was a good pick imo and we got a true C. I'm happy

I agree. The only player I'm shaky on is the TE from Cal, but otherwise, I liked what I saw and read about these guys.

The Bradford kid I think is going to be a fun player to watch.

I really liked from what I saw on a few of them. Am excited about the ponential on some others. I can't wait to see them put on pads.

I'm disappointed we didn't address CB earlier but I'm cautiously optimistic about the draft. We got some serious value at WR late.

However that also worries me that we drafted so many WRs...seems like the writing is on the walls about either Jordy or Cobb.

I can't help but think that anyone with a vision of the bigger picture couldn't see that writing. I dont like it, but you have 2, one young, one fairly young wr's that are going to get big big deals after this year. We can't keep everyone. And regardless. If a draft class is heavy in good we talent, and weak in others, why draft weaker prospects that won't have value? They won't push your guys to get better, they won't ever become a trade commodity Or a starter for your own team.
