Actually if you check out the NIT the SEC is doing just fine as well.

The thing with the NIT is the home/away format. As long as Arkansas plays at home, they are a top 10 team.

As soon as they hit the road... it will get ugly.

Mizz also has the ability to play like a top 10 team.

Runeman....I know what you mean about playing a team 4 times. In 1986 {I think that's the year} UK played LSU under
Dale Brown...beat them 3 times in regular season, and then met them in the Elite Eight...Guess who won?

Richardson for Tenn seems to be getting better as the season goes along. Has crazy athletic ability, quick, and can shoot.

Mercer will make their run, Tennessee just has to keep doing what they've been doing

Mercer is playing better because Tennessee is not playing proper defense...don't have to because Mercer has no answer for the Tennessee big men.

it does make you wonder, I've always felt arguing for one conference over another was rather meaningless when you get to the tournament.


During the season, you can go by some OOC games, same opponents, etc., but where the rubber meets the road is head to head in a tournament situation.

That's what I'm talking about. I see a glaring match-up prob at the 4 for Michigan. Morgan should bang well with Stokes but we don't have a good answer for Maymon...probably GR3 unless Beilein wants to run his 1-3-1 or 2-3. The wings match-up well...I'm not sure Tennessee will shoot that well again Thursday but Michigan will need to continue shooting lights out in this tournament to advance.
