Melvin Gordon stinks. Jeremy Langford is great.

2 Big Ten rb's. Both rookies. One can't gain 3 yards to save his life, but was supposed to be a stud.

I don't buy that it's "the scheme" or "the line." Some guys just don't translate well to the NFL. Like Reggie Bush for instance.

It's a shame Langford is stuck behind Forte.

Wisconsin has always had beastly offensive linemen (many of which are currently in the NFL) which has caused Wisconsin RBs to be overdrafted, but I really thought Gordon would be different. He did not just have a great college career behind that line, he had one of the best seasons in college football history.

That's what I get for drafting him on my fantasy team. It was my fault everyone!

In fairness to Gordon, the Chargers have been starting 3 backups on the O-line since week 1, and two of those are backups to backups. But yeah, hasn't done much so far.

8 games into his career and the dude is a bust. Do you guys ever read what you write and think "I sound a bit stupid right now"?

I'm not saying their schools have a great track record at the position but I'm also not gonna start a thread about who's a bust and who's not when the players are literally 8 games into their career. The Chargers O line is hot garbage.

Doesn't help that he's running behind one of the worst O-lines in the NFL. His predecessor couldn't gain a yard to save his life either and seems to be tearing it up in Philly now.

Not sure I understand the point about Wisconsin and the NFL. Does that mean teams shouldn't pick RB's from Wisconsin? Should the Chargers have passed on Tomlinson because TCU never produced a good running back? Should the Colts have passed on Marshall Faulk because no decent running back ever came from San Diego State?

no, but consistent failures on drafitng from a school are a red flag. shit, i mean mcnair went to akron...gems can be found...

but drafting a RB from WI or a QB from alabama has its inherent risks.
