This is just spit balling here, but I say we move Belt back to left, Posey to 1B, and make Hector the every day catcher. I'm not saying Hector = Melky, but we need to stretch the line up, and there really isn't any outside help out there.

Would the Giants re-sign him after this? With Mota and Melk both getting busted in the same year, this issue is probably pretty sensitive for the Giants.

It's been sensitive since Bonds. I bet that the Giants step away from Melky this offseason, although I think that would be a mistake. I knew it was too good to be true that we would have a legitimate 3-6 in our lineup.

Of course KC knew. But, who cares. He just got a lot cheaper for 2013 and beyond. The beneficial effects of steroids won't disappear overnight. With proper nutrition and continued work outs we should not see a slowdown in his production. Sucks for this year, but I'd still sign him.

Hopefully it also allows the Giants to offer fewer years. Assuming the Giants make the playoffs, I agree that this could be a good thing for the Giants in the long run.
